The Phoenicians were influential dark-skinned people who established colonies to the north of Africa.
Ancient traditions say that the Phoenicians originated from the Red Sea/Indian Ocean area in the horn of Africa, an area known in ancient times as the land of "Poenit or Punt". These Poenites eventually migrated and reached the Near East, where they settled and formed a region known as Phoenicia.
Although connecting these people directly to Africa becomes more difficult with the passage of time, it is still known that the Carthaginians (the founders of ancient Tunisia) who were descendants of the Phoenicians were black and that the Phoenicians have always practiced black spirituality.

The Phoenician civilization was an ancient Semitic speaking Greek civilization of Levant (Present day Lebanon) origin.
This civilization reached its height between 1100-200BC and was concentrated along the Lebanon coast and areas of modern Syria, Galilee, far north Arwad, far South Acre and possibly Gaza to the Iberian Peninsula (a peninsula in southwest of Europe) which is the second-largest European peninsula by area after the Scandinavian Peninsula.
The Phoenicians were a people whose power grew around 1150BC during the late Bronze Age, and a time that was after the collapse of most major cultures.

This civilization which was known for their antiquities, trade, maritime expertise, and explorers indeed traveled across the world. It can also be said that this civilization whose power spanned the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea, is one of the civilizations whose growth was through maritime trading that lasted over a millennium, and not by conquering territories.
It's major coastal city-states were; Tyre, Sidon (famous for their shipbuilding skills) and Byblos (most famous for the production of Papyrus). Their best legacy is the Phoenician alphabet which is the oldest verified alphabet.
It can be said that Greece which is considered as the cradle of European and Western civilization, was civilized by the Egyptians (Black Thebes) and the Phoenicians. This is a fact known and hidden by European historians.
Also Thales of Miletus was the son of Examyes and Cleobuline who were distinguished Phoenicians. There is also a strong probability that he was black.
Cadmus who is commonly stated to be a Phoenician Prince introduced writing in Greece and he was undoubtedly black.
There is also, evidence that proves that the Phoenicians were present in America before it was discovered by Christopher Columbus.
We will continue to add to this body of research as we uncover other hidden details of history.
